When should I book my newborn session?
If you’re looking for a newborn photographer in Accrington or anywhere across Lancashire, I’d love to welcome you and your family to my studio.
To guarantee availability, I recommend booking after your 20-week scan. Your due date secures your space in my diary, with flexibility for when baby arrives.
I take a limited number of newborn bookings each month to ensure every client receives a relaxed, high-quality experience. Newborn sessions are best captured within the first 5–21 days, when babies are naturally sleepy and curled up. However, if you little one is older, please don’t worry. Every baby is different and beautiful images can still be created, each session is uniquely based around your baby and their needs.
What happens during your newborn session?
Your newborn session is completely baby-led and usually lasts between 2-3 hours.
During this time, I’ll gently photograph your baby using a variety of carefully selected wraps, blankets and props whilst allowing plenty of time for feeds and cuddles.
There is never any rush and your baby’s comfort will always come first. Parents and siblings are always encouraged to take part, these images aren’t about ‘posing’ but about your beautiful family connections

Once your Images are ready, you’ll be invited back to the studio for your relaxed gallery viewing appointment where I’ll guide you through the options available, whether you’re just looking for digital bundles or collections, there is no obligation to decide until you have seen your finished images. You choose the collection that best suits your family.

The ideal time for a newborn session is within the first 5–21 days after birth, when babies are naturally sleepier and can be gently posed into those beautiful curled-up positions.
That said, if your baby is a little older, please don’t worry, I can still create stunning images at any stage.

You’ll arrive at the studio for your unique and personalised photoshoot, which includes full use of our outfits, props, wraps, headbands and posing baskets. If you have any sentimental items you'd like to include, please bring them along and let me know—I’ll do my best to incorporate them into your images.
While I Capture the kost stunning images of your baby, you can relax in the warm and comfortable client area, with full view of your baby at all times. Help yourself to unlimited tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks as I create a beautiful gallery for you.

Yes! It’s completely normal for your baby to feed more during a photoshoot, so please don’t worry. If you’re not breastfeeding, I ask that you bring extra milk to ensure your little one stays happy and content throughout the session.

Please allow up to 3 hours for your newborn session. I work entirely at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles. This relaxed approach ensures your little one is comfortable, safe and content, allowing us to capture the most beautiful images for you.
